Digital Art Portfolio

One of the first doodles I actually tried putting effort into when fiddling with the drawing apps when I had a Galaxy Note 9 with a handy stylus.

Later I when I started using a tablet for animations, I took this old favorite of mine and gave him some life.

These two pieces were made relatively close in time and that’s pretty apparent just by looking at them. I really wanted to play with color and texture. Imagery wise, there was this tune really stuck in my head and this is what came from it.

Good old Halloween. The theme of a werewolf is always something fun. So I took what I was doing for that year and made it a bit furrier…

All and all, this connects to some of the music I was listening to at the time involving themes of wolves and werewolves.

I started to realize that stencils are amazing and allow me to focus on the other fun details of a piece rather than being stuck on overthinking proportions of a hand… so I just took a picture of mine as if I was holding a heart and used that. I was surprised how effective it was at capturing the hand shape that worked correctly.

Hearts were really on my mind at the time… see what I did there? Anyway, loved making backgrounds that make everything feel floaty and adds depth. I wanted the feel to be that of a neon sign you’d see up over a bar.

As you might guess from some earlier pieces, music plays a part in my art. Here was something that basically started out as scribbles and at some point I said to myself, “Those look like shades”, and I went with the vibe. I also tried a new signature to match the ascetic. Honestly the blue background kills me a little, but I really wanted to go with the picture frame look.
